The large, deep pink flowers of Echinacea purpurea are just striking and give their best show when planted in groups. Bloom time begins in late June to early July and lasts about a month. Foliage is dark green and rarely has any issues with dise ... ases or pests. This plant is drought tolerant but will wilt a bit when enough moisture is not provided. The flowers are visited by many bees, butterflies and other pollinators, and the occasional Goldfinch will feed on the seeds in the fall.
